MS Together is an organisation which provides advice and support to people affected by MS, with a particular focus on those living with MS aged 18-35.
They provide an online community through private Facebook groups and enable connections to be made through their peer to peer support service. They also organise a number of different virtual and in person events, and empower people to share their stories, advocate for themselves and live their best lives.
This session will provide you with information and guidance on how the menopause may affect you, as there are a vast range of symptoms associated with it. It will also provide you with what options you have for managing your menopausal and MS symptoms. There will be time at the end for questions.

Some people with MS may experience pain and it can be the most difficult invisible symptom to describe and manage. Pain may be caused directly, due to nerve damage, or indirectly, due to other MS symptoms. It can cause feelings of overwhelm, frustration and can impact your emotions and wellbeing.
The seminar will be joined by Dr Sam Chong, Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospitals Neurology and Neurosurgery, London. His research had a focus on nerve regeneration and nerve damage and he was on the UK NICE Guideline Development Group for Management of Headaches and Neuropathic Pain.
You can also sign up for an informal Conversation Cafe session about MS and pain on Monday 25 September at 6pm. Your chance to chat to other people with MS. Sign up here.
This session is organised by the national MS charity, the MS Society. You can find out more about them by visiting their website at www.mssociety.org.uk

Well done to Sandra Tearney who won 2nd place in the 80cm show jumping and won the 90cm at Wellington Riding Club. Sandra has been coming to the centre for oxygen therapy for some time now and is also currently training to be an oxygen volunteer. Sandra is such a positive lady who has been battling ovarian cancer, she is a true inspiration. Well done Sandra!
