Cancellations/no-shows
As of Monday 5th February a non-refundable booking fee of £5 has been introduced for all therapies including oxygen. This has been introduced due to an increased problem with people cancelling appointments at the last minute. Therapists still have to be paid and volunteers for oxygen therapy come in especially.
If you are more than 15 minutes late for any appointment the full donation will be requested. The Committee reserve the right to request a full donation for missed appointments although discretion can be used in the case of genuine difficulty in attending.
Diary bookings
A reminder – the policy for appointment bookings is up to 6 weeks in advance which ties in with 6 weekly foot-care appointments. Some sessions have limited availability, please share. If a favoured time is requested by more than one person, please alternate your booking over the 6 weeks to give each other the benefit. Similarly, double sessions may be reduced to single to accommodate more peoples needs.

Senior ShopThe Senior Shop is a mobile clothes shop which visits groups (care homes, housing associations, social groups) by arrangement. They bring a range of clothing according to the season.
Sturdy StrawsSturdy Straws supply a straw drinking system. Mark who is tetraplegia was fed up with finding his straw just out of reach or having to pin a straw to his pillow. So he came up with the Sturdy Straw.
LakelandLakeland Will be loaning a range of products GTec Ram Cordless Hoover, Robot Hoover, tin and jar openers, easy grip peelers, drying racks and pegs.
Red CrossThe Red Cross provide volunteer transport. They also provide an equipment loan and purchase service.Carers OxfordshireCarers Oxfordshire support carers. Merisha Anderson and Alan Steer will be on hand to discuss Carers Breaks, Carers Emergency Card, Support, Training and other resources for family members, friends and neighbours who are caring.
Waitrose Abingdon
Waitrose Abingdon – We have been selected for Community Matters in February, so tell all you friends to shop in Waitrose and put the green coin in our slot!
Collection Boxes
We have lots of MS collection boxes that we need distributed, as its a great way for us to collect money for The Centre.If everyone could be in charge of 1 collection box and try to put it in their local pub, club, supermarket, restaurant, gym etc. it would be great!
Gym Induction Boooking
Gym induction bookings for the new equipment are now being taken.
Inductions will be within a normal session with either Tricia (Physio) or David (Osteo).
