OHSU is proceeding cautiously on new MS treatment using stem cells

Oregon Health & Science University isn’t rushing to use a new a Multiple Sclerosis therapy that uses a person’s own stem cells.
Dr. Richard Burt, chief of the division of immunotherapy at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, on Friday spoke to a group of physicians at OHSU’s Multiple Sclerosis Center about use of hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). Read on.

A34 Chilton to Milton Maintenance Scheme
A34 Chilton to Milton Drainage Maintenance Scheme
The Highways Agency will be carrying out essential maintenance works to the drainage system along the A34 between the A4130 Milton Interchange and A4185 Chilton Junction. This scheme aims to reduce the risk of future flooding and supports Oxfordshire County Councils proposed improvement schemes at Chilton and Milton. Work is scheduled to start in early-December 2014 and is expected to be completed by the end of May 2015. A 25 hour narrow lane running with a temporary 50mph speed limit will be in place for the duration of the scheme.
Membership Fees
From 1st January 2015 there will be an increase in membership and some recommended donation rates:
The membership year will run from 1st January to 31st December, £25 to include use of the gym
Therapy increases by £1 on all therapies apart from oxygen and yoga for MS and Carer’s with the aim of bringing the donation rate closer to the actual therapists charges.
