Chair of trustees
In December, after nine years in the role, Andy Gower will stand down as chairman, but will stay on as a trustee. Could you be our new chair?
Requirements of the role:
- Chair AGM and trustee meetings (currently four a year, usually on Zoom)
- Ensure that all legal requirements are met re. governance, Charity Commission, etc
- Ensure that the Centre remains financially viable
- Provide support for the Centre Manager
- Represent the Centre to outside organisations
- Contribute towards agreeing the way forward for the organisation
Qualities needed:
- People management skills in regard to trustees, staff and volunteers
- Have a knowledge of, or be prepared to learn about, the governance framework that we operate under
- Have the ability to understand the finances of the charity
