Staying Active with MS: Tennis / Pickleball, MS Society Webinar – 3 July

These sessions feature a different sport or activity each month bringing you experts from the field who can explain how to get involved and how to overcome barriers to inclusion. They also hear from people living with MS who take part in the activity, sharing their experiences and what being involved means to them.

Are you a tennis fan?Planning on watching Wimbledon and want to pick up a racket yourself? This session will look at ways racket sports can be made more accessible.

They’ll be talking to Karen Mitchell from Pickleball England who will be telling us about this ingenious up and coming sport. Pickleball is a cross between tennis, badminton and ping pong, played indoors or out, on a court about a quarter the size of a tennis court, and with a slightly lower net. It is designed to be accessible and inclusive.

They will also have lots of information from the Lawn Tennis Association about how you can find a local club with accessible options and adaptations which can open tennis up to you.

Date: Monday 3 July

Time: 6pm to 7pm

This session is organised by the national MS charity, the MS Society. You can find out more about them by visiting their website at www.mssociety.org.uk
