As you may be aware the 2016 Business & Community Awards (BACAs) are now open for anyone to nominate a local business, charity or community group that deserves some recognition for all the hard work and achievements they’ve obtained throughout the year. The BACAs celebrate and reward excellence for organisations in and around the Didcot area within the OX11 postcode and extends out to Culham Science Park, Harwell Campus, Milton Park and Southmead Industrial Estate as well as all the surrounding villages.
Anyone can nominate a business, charity or community group by visiting our website http://didcotfirst.org.uk/page-galleries.html and completing an eNomination form. The form is much quicker and easier to complete this year, with just a number of tick boxes to mark and 2 questions on the organisation or group nominated. We welcome self-nomination, but please also feel free to forward this information onto your partners, suppliers, employees, volunteers, customers, service users and colleagues.
Paper copies of the form are available from Cornerstone Arts Centre, Newbury Building Society and Soha Housing Offices in Didcot. All organisations shortlisted for an award are invited to attend the Gala Evening on Friday 18th November at Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot, where all the winners are announced. Anyone who completes a nomination form can enter a free prize draw to receive 2 free tickets to the Gala Event in November.
Once we have received a nomination, we will contact the person mentioned on the form and request further information for their relevant award. If you have any further questions or queries regarding the BACAs, please do not hesitate to contact me.
