Generation Games, the exercise arm of Age UK Oxfordshire runs a supervised gym session for people with MS at Oxsrad in Marsh Lane, Marston, every Wednesdayfrom 10am to noon. The gym has adapted equipment designed for wheelchair users, 2 MOTOmeds and standing frame. We still have 16 free memberships to Oxsrad, so if you would like to use the facilities at Oxsrad, speak to me and I can sort you out a free membership for the year (once a member you would pay £3.20 a week).
Generation Games also runs an exercise class for people with MS at the White Horse Leisure Centre in Abingdon on Mondays from 1-2pm, £3.30 per session (leisure centre membership rates apply). It is a group class, led by a qualified instructor, focussing on maintaining fitness, strength, balance and flexibility. A range of equipment is used, including a Swiss Ball.
